Past, Present, and Future

Our History

Our Revitilization

Our Revitilization

In 1961, the SRP District was created to support economic

development. The SRP District does not own or operate

any terminal facilities within its boundaries

which encompass substantial portions of Gallatin and

Hardin Counties (Illinois).  The Port has 204 acres within its District.

grant for a fertilizer offloading

terminal, roadway infrastructure improvements,

study to reintroduce railroad access, enhanced levee protection (natural disaster resilience), and

river pier construction.
